Meet at the Science Resource Center at the Heard Museum
Week SEVEN: March 18, 2026
6:00 - 9:00 PM
Class meets IN PERSON
I am LOVING our hands-on rotation activities. A big thank you to Spencer and Grayson for helping to facilitate the furs and skulls. You can find links from last night's class in the "extras" section at the top of the Mammalogy webpage.
After hearing some questions and comments at the end of class, I want to make sure that I clarify a few points before moving on to week seven:
Yes, we still have class next week. Nothing changes.
The "flipped" piece means that you will watch Heather's geology lecture at home before class. This is part of your pre-work. Just like every week, you are expected to complete your pre-work prior to class. But for this class, it is SUPER important that you actually do it. Complete the pre-work and show up to class on Wednesday like normal.
The field trip to the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center will be Saturday, April 4th, 12-2:30pm. The SUG has been corrected. If you need to change your signup, please go in and make your edits. Sorry again for the date confusion.
On class nights, it is very important that everyone is ready to go at 6pm. Please make sure to give yourself enough time to arrive and get settled by then.
Week SEVEN: Mar 11-18
Pre-Work:
Like I detailed above, it is super important that you watch all 3 of the lecture videos before Wednesday so the in-class activities will make sense. See all of the pre-work here. Don't forget to log your hours and complete the feedback survey!
